Abstract (English)
The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) caused the World Health Organization to declare a pandemic on March 11, 2020. It has become a threat to public health all over the world. The COVID-19 epidemic, which caused a public health crisis, causes individuals to experience various psychological problems, not only physically, but also by the damage it causes to the economy and by removing the education systems from normalcy for a long time. During the pandemic period, all levels of educational institutions have switched their normal education methods to distance education in order to prevent the contagiousness of the epidemic. As a result of the global epidemic crisis imposing a digital education life on higher education institutions, various pauses have been experienced in the research and development areas of universities. Students who have been studying distance education for almost two years are gradually transitioning to normal education life, despite the Omicron variant. However, various psychological and physiological problems have emerged in distance education students for almost two years.
This study, which aims to reveal the psychological effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on university students in Turkey, was created by compilation method. Within the framework of current research, the conclusion that university students in Turkey experience various psychological problems such as depression and anxiety during the pandemic has been supported by various studies.

Koronavirüs hastalığı (COVID-19), 11 Mart 2020 tarihinde Dünya Sağlık Örgütü tarafından pandemi ilan edilmesine yol açmış ve tüm dünyada toplum sağlığını tehdit eden bir hal almıştır. Bir halk sağlığı krizine sebep olan COVID-19 salgını sadece fiziksel olarak değil ekonomilere verdiği zararla ve eğitim sistemlerini uzun bir süre normallikten uzaklaştırmasıyla bireylere çeşitli psikolojik sorunlar yaşatmaktadır. Pandemi döneminde eğitim kurumlarının her kademesi salgının bulaşıcılığını engellemek amacıyla normal eğitim yöntemlerini uzaktan eğitime geçirmiştir. Küresel salgın krizinin yükseköğretim kurumlarına dijital bir eğitim hayatını dayatması sonucu üniversitelerin araştırma ve geliştirme alanlarında çeşitli duraklamalar yaşanmıştır. Neredeyse iki yıldır uzaktan eğitim gören öğrenciler bugün Omicron varyantına rağmen aşamalı olarak normal eğitim hayatına geçmektedir. Ancak öğrencilerde çeşitli psikolojik ve fizyolojik sorunlar ortaya çıktığı gözlemlenmektedir. COVID-19 pandemisinin Türkiye’deki üniversite öğrencileri üzerindeki psikolojik etkilerini ortaya koymayı amaçlayan bu çalışma derleme yöntemi ile oluşturulmuştur. Türkiye’deki üniversite öğrencilerinin pandemi döneminde depresyon ve kaygı gibi çeşitli psikolojik sorunlar yaşadığı sonucu çeşitli çalışmalarla desteklenmiştir.
