Submission Guidelines

Writing and Publication Conditions / Submission Guideline

Application Form

Articles can be submitted to iSophos in all languages. Submitted articles must not have been previously published or submitted to another institution for publication. Regarding data access, all data related to the articles must be available to the iSophos board upon request.

Author Change

ISophos accepts the rearrangement (addition/removal) of author names in accepted articles prior to publication. These changes are subject to the consent of those named in the article.

Things to Do Before Applying

Articles submitted to iSophos must meet the “scientific research and publication ethics and reporting criteria” described below:

Articles should be written in MS Word using Calibri (Body) font, 10 point size, and 1.5 line spacing.

The first page should include the authors' names, titles, affiliations, and contact information. In multi-authored articles, the author who submitted the article is considered the "corresponding author."

Abstracts in Turkish and English, 250-500 words; 3-5 keywords. If the author does not know Turkish, this task can be completed by İSophos.

Visual elements should be in a separate file, in appropriate formats (.jpg, .pdf, or .png), with printable resolution and standard dimensions. Tables (headings, descriptions, captions, etc.) must be complete. Tables, figures, images, and charts may also be written in smaller fonts and with single line spacing.

In terms of Language and Expression, technical corrections should be made regarding spelling, punctuation, grammar, paragraphing, segmentation, and headings.

In the citation and bibliography, the APA 6th edition in-text citation system should be used. The bibliography should only include works cited in the text.

Request for Language and Expression Support

ISophos authors can request professional assistance with language and style correction for their articles. ISophos Journal has professional proofreaders. The cost of this service is the responsibility of the authors.

Review and Publication Process

Articles are evaluated by at least 2 (two) reviewers using a blind review system. If deemed necessary, they are sent to a third reviewer. Authors are responsible for making any necessary corrections requested by the reviewers. The publication process begins for articles that receive "Publishable" approval from two reviewers.

Articles that have completed the peer-review process are published in the next issue. If there are too many articles for a given issue, those submitted earlier to iSophos are published first. This may be disregarded in the case of special issues or thematic issues.

iSophos is an open access website. All articles can be accessed at www.isophos.org.

Acceptance Letter

iSophos will send an Article Acceptance Letter, indicating the status of the article, upon request from the author. This letter will include the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) number.

DOI Usage

Articles on iSophos are published with a DOI number. A DOI is a unique alphanumeric sequence assigned to documents by the publisher at the start of electronic publication. The DOI can be used for citing and linking to electronic documents.

Copyright

By submitting their article to our journal, the author acknowledges and agrees to transfer the copyright of the work to İsophos.

The author is responsible for all formal and academic obligations regarding publication ethics and copyright in this article. iSophos accepts no responsibility for copyright and ethical violations.

Magazine Issues

The new e-issue of the journal ISophos is being sent to all authors. Authors and readers can access all articles via the website.
