Abstract
This research aims to analyze of the theses completed between 1989 and 2020, which were on the subject of temperament in the pre-school period in Turkey. This research, which examines the theses published on the subject of temperament in the National Thesis Center, was carried out using the screening model, which is one of the quantitative research types. The study group of the research consists of 46 postgraduate theses obtained from the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). The data collection tool is the Data Coding Form consisting of 14 items, developed by the researchers by examining the literature. According to the results of the research, the theses on the subject have increased in recent years, especially in the graduate field. However, it is seen that the number of theses done at the doctoral level is very low. On the other hand, it is necessary to increase the number of theses on temperament in the preschool period, and to provide a variety of keywords, measurement tools, methods and statistical analysis. In addition, the increase in the number of children in the sample groups is an important factor in terms of data reliability. The theses examined within the scope of the research show that the subject is a multi-disciplinary subject studied in different institutes. At this point, it is important that different subject areas and disciplines come together on temperament.
