Aims and Scope

The Asia Pacific Journal of Education and Society (APJES) is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing critical scholarship and innovative practices in education from a wide range of disciplinary, sociocultural, and methodological perspectives. APJES provides a platform for researchers, educators, and policymakers to engage with historical, philosophical, postcolonial, linguistic, autobiographical, theological, and international perspectives on teaching, and  learning. The journal welcomes empirical, theoretical, conceptual and methodological contributions that address curriculum design, instructional strategies, assessment, learning sciences, teacher education, policy reform, leadership practices, social and cultural perspectives in education, and interdisciplinary approaches to education. Special emphasis is placed on work that explores equity, diversity, and inclusion; identity, culture, and difference; and contemporary global challenges such as digital transformation, sustainability, migration, and social justice movements. By embracing both traditional and emerging paradigms, APJES seeks to foster dialogue across contexts and disciplines, bridging local and global concerns to enrich educational thought and practices in Asia Pacific and beyond.
