Abstract

The primary objective of this study was to analyze mobile phone usage patterns across different age groups, focusing on brand preference, daily usage, internet consumption, and application behavior. A structured questionnaire was administered to 1,339 respondents categorized into four age groups: 5–15, 16–25, 26–35, and 36 and above. The methodology employed descriptive statistics and chi-square tests to assess the significance of associations between age and mobile usage variables. The results revealed that the 26–35 age group demonstrated the highest usage across most indicators, including brand preference (Redmi, Samsung), network (Jio), and purpose (business, education). The chi-square tests showed significant relationships (p < 0.05) between age and factors such as mobile brand, usage duration, network type, data consumption, and app usage. However, no significant difference was found regarding the perception of mobile necessity and internet access. The findings emphasize the influence of age on digital behavior and provide insights for age-specific digital marketing and technology development.
